Seriously - how do I do that?.

Fitting In - Page 27

Wow.

A little late with today's page. Had more free time with the holiday today and wanted to get some work done on the next chapter - so it would not take two years like the first one.

Mmmmmm.

Almost missed today's post. Router would not connect. AT&T said it was not on their side. Tried again in the afternoon and it worked, but intermittently.

Unexpected feelings and urges -- and temptations.

I am very grateful to those of you who made critical comments about the appearance and style of the comic. It made me go back and look at the remaining pages again and experiment some more with the processing effects. In a way it was frustrating because I had to do a lot of work over, but it was worth it as I am very pleased with the results. Thanks!

I tried again to respond to your comments but can't figure out how to do it. I can do it on other free blog services but blogger is too stubborn. It's probably something very simple that I will feel stupid about not getting.

Anyway, thanks to all of your wonderful comments and encouragement, I went back and played with some of the pages and found a way that makes them look even better and closer to drawn comics like I want. So I sat down last night and redid all the remaining pages with the new style. I think they look a little sharper now. Here is the original version of today's page. Maybe you can see the difference.

Thanks again for your support!

More blackmail.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments so far. I can't figure out how to respond to them individually. It doesn't seem to work like a forum does.

We will be halfway through the story tomorrow, and it really starts moving then. Thanks!

Should have warned that it would be R-rated yesterday, but there is the adult content warning of Blogger's before you get here.

Mmmmmmmm.

This is another page I changed after it was done and numbered and I kept both versions.

Dreams come true.

This was a page I inserted when I came back to the story after six or eight months and already had a lot done. I don't know if that is good or bad: leaving a story alone for awhile so you see it with fresh eyes when you come back to it and see something missing that would improve it, or just sticking with it until it is done and not try to second-guess yourself.

Wish fulfilled.

Sorry about the double post yesterday. I wanted to let page 10 sit there overnight and let you all wonder what the tickling was going to produce, but Blogger ruined that. I guess I could have just skipped a day and posted it that way anyway, but I didn't think of that till today.

The big reveal!

Fitting In - Page 10

Jamie gets impatient.

Posted this page yesterday but Blogger went down after that and they lost it. It's funny because my comment for this page was about how I was posting one page a day like a webcomic, and you should not worry about me stopping for days or weeks at a time, like webcomics do, because I already produced all 38 pages, and there was nothing to stop me from posting one every day . . .

No long comment today. I'm trying to get started on Chapter 1.

Jamie admits his new desires and feelings.

It's too late now, but after I started posting this story I realized I left out some important information, some details I could have included in the opening exposition. Just to keep it legal, I should explain that Jamie was a senior in high school and already 18 when his family moved to a new city and he got stuck in the school with all the tough kids. This would come out as part of the plot in Chapter 1, assuming I can actually finish it.

- where Becky reveals a secret.

Well, at least posting a new page every day will force me to, um, post every day. I wanted to post every day. or at least regularly, on my caption blogs but could not keep it up and eventually stopped altogether.

(Spoiler Alert! Or maybe not. If you are very clever, you may be able to figure out where this story is going from today's page.)

- where Becky continues to explain the rules of the house to Jamie.

Yes, I am going to post one page a day. The story is 38 pages long and I don't want to just throw it all out there at once. I'd like to use something like ComicPress, but it looks like you need a web host for it. I don't see how it works with Blogger.

Good News, Everyone!

- as Professor Farnsworth is fond of saying.

Well, there is good news for any of you out there still waiting patiently for me to release the graphic story I promised a few months ago: I got a new computer! Why is that good news? Well, my penis envy does not extend far enough to make me want to brag about the size of my new CPU. I'll leave that to Jack on one of his blogs. However, my new computer is so incredibly faster than my old one, it's well, just amazing to me.

I use Poser 7 to create the basic images for my comic. My old computer took about ten minutes to render one scene. It was very frustrating to wait that long and then find that the lighting was completely wrong and the rendered image was useless. I tended to accept the first decent render I got without trying to fine tune it. Even then it would take me days to get one or two pages done, so my natural procrastination and ADD would kick in and I would avoid working on it for up to months at a time.

Imagine my joy when I rendered my first scene on my new machine and it took only 45 seconds! That is at least an order of magnitude faster. I could now actually write the dialogue and story board while creating the images, then even play around with them and render them over and over till I was satisfied. Just over this last weekend I was doing five or six pages a day! When I finally finished the story with all the pages last night, I was so excited I hardly got any sleep.

So thanks to all of you (both of you? anybody?) for waiting patiently. I don't want to put it off any longer. I don't want to keep going back and making little changes. That could go on forever. You may notice as you go through the pages that the writing style and even the narrative voice changes as you progress through the story. Sorry about that. Those first pages were written two years ago and I like to think I learned some things and evolved as a story teller since those early days. I hope that is not going to be a problem now that I can produce a story almost as fast as I can think of it and write it down -- now that I am not hampered by ancient technology.

I hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

Here are the first three pages to get started:
