Fitting In Chapter One - New Character

This is a new character that will appear in Chapter Two or Three, not sure yet. I am experimenting with it now so it will be ready when I get that far in the story. It is also something I worked on last month - still no new work in July yet.

He is a crossdresser who Jamie meets through a friend at high school. In this picture he is wearing breastforms that I still need to design so I can show them outside his bra. The picture below is what he night look like in a dress. The dress is not a conforming prop so I had to adjust it quite a bit to get it to look like it fits him. That will take way to much time to do for multiple panels and poses so I won't be using it when the time comes. I just wanted to see how he looked in a dress. What would be ideal would be to find some conforming clothes or dynamic clothes designed for crossdressers, that is, dresses and lingerie that would fit on male characters. The market for that must be too small for content creators to bother with, though I think they might be surprised at how popular those items would be.

Fitting In Chapter One Progress - More Experiments

This is more of the work I did last month. The only thing I did recently was to resize the individual images and compile them all on one page. They are all renders of the same scene with only changes to the lighting positions, number of lights, light intensity, shadows on or off, and light types. For the four on the bottom I put clothes on him that are open and unbuttoned because he can't find any clothes that fit over his huge breasts. For the two on the bottom right, I put a spotlight in the computer monitor to try and make it look like the light was coming from the screen. It is one little scene from the week after the breast explosion where Jamie is trying to cope with his giant breasts. I'm stuck with them this size because that is how the prologue ended. I don't want to give away too much of the story, but they don't stay that big for very long. They look ridiculous, are hard to explain and justify, and from a practical standpoint, just too hard to dress. Yes, I wrote myself into a corner because I did not look ahead past the end of the first story. Now I need to decide which render to use. And those nine are not even half of the ones I did!

Fitting In Chapter One - A Couple Experiments

Still not getting any work done on the new chapter. Here is another sample of the work I did last month, some more experiments.

I thought I would try rendering Jamie without adding all the processing I was using to get that hand-drawn look, so I rendered the raw character as it loads from the poser library. I have to say that it looks really good to me and I'm almost tempted to quit trying to get a hand-drawn look and go with renders like this. But I know I'll never get the other characters and their clothes and the backgrounds to look right or even good, so I think not. Also, the face looks weird, doesn't even look the same as the other renders I got in the published comic even though the parameters are all the same.

This one looked so good, I tried a render of Jamie with the huge tits after the second set of pills. It looks really good, too. I wish I had the time to do the comic both ways, but then I wouldn't be able to decide which one looked better!

Fitting In Chapter One Progress - None

Sorry. I haven't done anything on the new story since 6/24. Family problems and lots of other things I won't go into. I will post some samples of what I did up till then over the next couple of days so you won't lose interest.

What I managed to do today was upload the prologue to 4shared and my Yahoo group. Somebody else has already uploaded it to E-Hentai. In fact, they were doing it in chunks as I was posting it daily on this blog. They did put a link back to this blog in the comments, so I guess that's okay.

Tentative First Page

This is the latest version of the first page of Chapter One of Fitting In. It's the third or fourth version. It sets up the next few days of Jamie's recovery from the overdose of experimental hormone pills. Somehow we need to explain away those huge breasts and get him back to "normal" without pulling a Bobby Ewing. Make the series more realistic and believable than the one-shot comic that started it.

I have eight pages done so far until I got bogged down in the story. I've also experimented a lot more with Poser, learning how to do reflections in mirrors and use dynamic clothing and such. Also playing with lighting, which can really change how characters and the scene look when they render. So this post is to give you all a progress report so you won't lose interest and forget about me. :-)

Okay, the end of the teaser, or the flashback, or the back story.
This was originally intended to be just a short, throwaway cartoon I could use to learn and practice using Poser, with no intention of developing any of the characters any further or continuing the story or even trying to obey the laws of physics or biology. But all of your comments have convinced me that there is something here worth continuing. I mean, even I want to see what is going to happen next. Since I am going to do more stories anyway, why not do this one first?
But it will be a while. I want to finish the whole story, or at least complete chapters, before I start posting anything so I won't leave you hanging, waiting for the next installment if something comes up or I need to take a break and miss a few posts. (I hate it when that happens in a story I am following!)

It made me go back and look at the remaining pages again and experiment some more with the processing effects. Anyway, thanks to all of your wonderful comments and encouragement, I went back and played with some of the pages and found a way that makes them look even better and closer to drawn comics like I want. So I sat down last night and redid all the remaining pages with the new style. I think they look a little sharper now. Here is the original version of today's page. Maybe you can see the difference.

This was a page I inserted when I came back to the story after six or eight months and already had a lot done. I don't know if that is good or bad: leaving a story alone for awhile so you see it with fresh eyes when you come back to it and see something missing that would improve it, or just sticking with it until it is done and not try to second-guess yourself.

It's too late now, but after I started posting this story I realized I left out some important information, some details I could have included in the opening exposition. Just to keep it legal, I should explain that Jamie was a senior in high school and already 18 when his family moved to a new city and he got stuck in the school with all the tough kids. This would come out as part of the plot in Chapter 1, assuming I can actually finish it.

Yes, I am going to post one page a day. The story is 38 pages long and I don't want to just throw it all out there at once. I'd like to use something like ComicPress, but it looks like you need a web host for it. I don't see how it works with Blogger.

Good News, Everyone!

- as Professor Farnsworth is fond of saying.

Well, there is good news for any of you out there still waiting patiently for me to release the graphic story I promised a few months ago: I got a new computer! Why is that good news? Well, my penis envy does not extend far enough to make me want to brag about the size of my new CPU. I'll leave that to Jack on one of his blogs. However, my new computer is so incredibly faster than my old one, it's well, just amazing to me.

I use Poser 7 to create the basic images for my comic. My old computer took about ten minutes to render one scene. It was very frustrating to wait that long and then find that the lighting was completely wrong and the rendered image was useless. I tended to accept the first decent render I got without trying to fine tune it. Even then it would take me days to get one or two pages done, so my natural procrastination and ADD would kick in and I would avoid working on it for up to months at a time.

Imagine my joy when I rendered my first scene on my new machine and it took only 45 seconds! That is at least an order of magnitude faster. I could now actually write the dialogue and story board while creating the images, then even play around with them and render them over and over till I was satisfied. Just over this last weekend I was doing five or six pages a day! When I finally finished the story with all the pages last night, I was so excited I hardly got any sleep.


So thanks to all of you (both of you? anybody?) for waiting patiently. I don't want to put it off any longer. I don't want to keep going back and making little changes. That could go on forever. You may notice as you go through the pages that the writing style and even the narrative voice changes as you progress through the story. Sorry about that. Those first pages were written two years ago and I like to think I learned some things and evolved as a story teller since those early days. I hope that is not going to be a problem now that I can produce a story almost as fast as I can think of it and write it down -- now that I am not hampered by ancient technology.

My New TG Comic Blog

Hi! This is my new blog. Unlike my other blogs ( look over to the right ---> ), this one is not a caption blog. I love captioning and will continue to write them, but I also love drawing and art and comics, so this blog will be devoted to my simple attempts to create illustrated stories and comics. Of course, the themes of the stories will almost always be about men who grow breasts or get turned into women with big breasts. I might even have a few of them end up giving blow jobs to big husky men just to please Jack.

Speaking of Jack: You may have noticed that I haven't posted anything for a while. One reason is that I have been working on my first story. I am just learning how to use Poser and Paintshop Pro and Manga Studio, and every time I learn a new trick that improves my technique, I have to go back and apply it to all the work I have already done. It's a slow process.

The second reason I haven't posted anything for a long time is Jack. I let him stay over here at my house while he recovers from his back surgery. He can't really move around much while he heals. That's fine; he's a sweet guy and I love him, but he's constantly going "Honey! Can you make me a sandwich?" or "Honey! Can you get me another beer?" or "Honey! Can you give me a blow job?" I mean, really, I can't get any work done.

Here are the first two panels of my first story. It's about a teenager who escapes the bullies at his school by dressing as a girl and living with his cousin at her school. I'm keeping them small as a teaser so hopefully you will come back. They may even change again as I keep learning new skills.
